Dorothy Ione Lee, 93, left to be with her Lord from Elmcroft Home in Kentwood, MI, on August 11, 2016. Dorothy was born on April 4, 1923, in Central Lake, Michigan, the daughter of the late Otto and Lenzia (Cobb) Morse, and lived her entire life in Michigan.
On August 24, 1951, Dorothy married Glen H. Lee of Suttons Bay, MI, and they enjoyed their married life together until just a few days before their 65th anniversary, when the Lord took Dorothy home to be with Him.
Surviving Dorothy are her husband Glen; three sons: Larry (Keri) Lee, Loren (Amber) Lee, and Allen (Vicky) Lee; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In 1967 Dorothy founded the local Manpower Temporary Employment Services office in Traverse City that she enjoyed very much and managed very successfully until she retired in 1982. For 28 seasons she and Glen also enjoyed visiting the warm, sunny climate of Florida.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Journey Wesleyan Church, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Chris Hinterman will officiate the service.
