Doyle Hubert Pierman, 95, of Traverse City passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at home surrounded by several of his loving family members.
Doyle was born on January 16, 1925 to the late Carl and Wanda (Clark) Pierman. He married Jacquelin M. Valley on August 23, 1946.
Honorably Doyle served our Country in the United States Marine Corps in WWII from 1943-1945. He was a disabled American Veteran and earned two Purple Hearts.
He lived in the Kalamazoo area for 50 plus years and worked for Consumers Power for 30 plus years. Doyle and Jackie were members of First Congregational Church. He enjoyed, gardening, working on projects for his kids and refinishing furniture.
Doyle was preceded in death by his wife Jacquelin, parents, granddaughter Bethany Pierman, son-in-law Larry Reeder and ten siblings.
Doyle is survived by his six children Stephanie Reeder, David (Marilyn) Pierman, Holly Whitlock, Doyle Pierman, Lauren (Frank) Blossom and Valley (Michael) Ufer, 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one great great grandson and his sister Eileen Pierce .
The funeral service celebrating Doyle's life will be announced at a later time.
Interment has taken place at the Peninsula Township Cemetery.
