Duane Larry Inman

Duane Larry Inman of Traverse City passed away Sunday August 25th, 2024.

Duane was born June 23rd, 1946 in Traverse City to Donald L. and Elmy K. (Erickson) Inman. He was married to his wife Helen White for over 55 years.

Duane was a caring and considerate husband, father, and grandfather. He was the rock and sounding board for his family and friends. Duane loved to hunt with brothers. He also enjoyed fishing with his son Rob. Duane enjoyed watching sports on television. He enjoyed Tiger baseball, bowling, basketball, and many other sports. Duane was a Lions fan even through their rough seasons. Duane attended Leland Public Schools and enjoyed playing basketball there.

Duane served his country in the Army. When he returned home from Germany, he worked in the water well business with his father and brothers. He then switched careers and worked at Wilbur Ellis in Acme for over 30 years.

Duane had an unwavering faith. He was a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City for the past 38 years. Prior to that he attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Duane shared that faith with his wife, family, and friends.

Surviving Duane is his wife Helen: children Robert Inman, Laura (John) Pfeiffelman, and Amber Inman, grandchildren: Samantha Inman, Andrew Pfeiffelman, Sofia Broome, and Alexander Pfeiffelman. He is also survived by his siblings Devon Sprandel and Dale Inman and several nieces and nephews and he loved them all.

Duane was preceded in death by his father Donald, Mother Elmy, and brothers Donald Jr and Daniel.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 31st at Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City, with visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will follow. Pastor Michael Goers will be officiating.
