TRAVERSE CITY — Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 19, 1933, Skip, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on July 20, 2011, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.After earning a master's degree in Automotive Engineering from Chrysler Institute, Skip became one of the original "Ram Chargers" in 1957, developing the record breaking C/Altered "High and Mighty" drag racer. In 1964, he joined the Pontiac racing program and did design work on the Pontiac GTO and Super Duty 455 Engine Program.Skip was active onstage with Avon Players in Rochester; the U.S. Power Squadron/Birmingham as Boating Instructor and Commander in 1998; and later with "Three Lakes Assn." (TLA), in water quality research and loon management on Lake Bellaire.Skip is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy; son, Dana Lee; and daughter Alicia and husband, John Taylor. He was a proud grandfather of Darrin Lee, Megan Leigh, Michael Douglas and Mason Alan McCully, Trevor Duncan and Aaron Hung-Ta Taylor.A revised time/date for his memorial service is 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TLA, P.O.
