Dylan Williams, 31, of Cedar passed away January 12, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on February 4, 1990 to Joe Williams and the late Shirley Griffin.
One of the members of Recovery Road Riders, Dylan was larger than life and conquered all. He had a colorful character and was one of the kindest and funniest men you would meet. Dylan was a man of deep integrity, keen intellect, discerning judgment, and immense personal warmth.
After graduating High school, Dylan moved to Chicago to pursue a higher education in Auto Deisel Mechanics. He returned home, turned the schooling into a hobby and mastered the skill of carpentry, mostly alongside his good buddies.
Dylan had the strength of an ox, beating addiction and then taking on the trial of cancer- finally after a 7-year battle, he courageously lost.
He will be missed for his abilities to make you smile, to lend a hand, to listen with care and concern, but above all he will be missed for the warrior that so many knew him as.
Dylan is survived by his father Joseph G. Williams, sisters Hannah and Skye Hillier, brother Chris Wiggs and many loved family members.
He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Gray.
Visitation will take place on Friday January 14, 2022 at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 5-8pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday January 15, 2022 also at the funeral home at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a contribution to the Recovery Road Scholarship: Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation in Dylan's honor.
