Traverse City - Edna M. Vicary, 93, of Traverse City passed away January 7, 2015 at Orchard Creek with her family by her side.

Edna was born on December 4, 1921 in Windsor to the late Frederick and Jeanette (Heatlie) McMillan.

On April 5, 1947, Edna married John Douglas Vicary in Windsor, Ontario.

Edna and John made their home in Birmingham while John worked for Chevrolet. In 1983, following his retirement, they moved to Traverse City. Edna and John enjoyed travelling and visited 48 states and 8 provinces. They also loved to boat.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband John in 2012, brother Gordon McMillan and sisters Irene Fregin and Marion Scutchings.

Edna is survived by her daughters Janis (Michael) Fitzgerald of Port Orchard, WA, Marilynn Flynn of Williams, AZ, Patricia (Todd Nelson) Vicary of Pleasanton, CA, grandson Tyler (Michelle) Martin of Kirkland, WA, grandson Derek Nelson of Pleasanton, CA, and great granddaughter Cecelia Martin of Kirkland, WA.

The funeral service celebrating Edna's life will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband John.
