Edsel A. Beach of Traverse City entered into rest on Wednesday November 20, 2013 at the age of 83 surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.
Born in Detroit on June 15, 1930 to Wood and Ida (Sweet) Beach, who have preceded him in death, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Korean War.
After coming home he married Armeda Mary Cox on November 20, 1954. This was a beautiful marriage for exactly 59 years. They had five children together whom he loved.
Edsel was a skilled craftsman; working in the plastering trade he enjoyed applying his artistry to many fine homes. An honest businessman, knowing that he was helping other people with their needs meant a lot to him.
He was an active sportsman and a skilled pianist who shared his musical talents while he could. He thought about and cared for his family and friends. He was a man of few words but the words he spoke were full of meaning.
He loved the Lord and was a very loving and loyal husband, father and grandfather and a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed; his memories will be cherished.
He is survived by his wife Armeda, Son; William Beach of Traverse City, Daughters; Vicki Nesbitt of Morehead, Kentucky, Susan Whitefield of Traverse City, Carolyn (Gregory) Stover of Yellow Springs, Ohio, and Rebecca (Stanley) Birkhofer of Gaylord, eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, sisters Velma Bunch of Carson City, NV and Mary mcMahon of Utica ,MI
