TRAVERSE CITY — Edward Joel "Joe" Hundley, 66, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by his family.Joe was born Feb. 23, 1945, in Ann Arbor, to Edward Walter and Ardythe June (Kingscott) Hundley.Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, and spending time on his Kubota. Crossword puzzles and Sudoku were also enjoyable hobbies for him. Joe could often be found at the Hayloft listening to music and talking with friends. He loved spending time with his family and he will be deeply missed by each of them.Surviving Joe are his children, Lauri (Dave) Lemcool and Joel (Tara) Hundley; grandchildren, Dillon and Lindsey Boomer, Logan and Skylar Hundley, step-grandchildren, Kerry and Alisha Lemcool; sister, Meri (Jim) Tharp; brother-in-law, Tom Jakee; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Joe is preceded in death by his father, Edward; children, Brian Hundley and Karrie Hundley; brother, Jim Hundley; and sister, Kayte Jakee.A memorial service will be held for Joe at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Bayview Wesleyan Church, with a visitation held one hour prior. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery.The family is being served by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
