Edward E. Lambert

Edward “Ed” Lambert age 83 of Grawn, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Ed was born on March 3, 1943, In Traverse City, Michigan to the late Robert and Lucille (Laird) Lambert.

Ed was born the youngest of three boys. He was a 1961 graduate of Traverse City Central High School.

On October 24, 1964, Ed married the love of his life, Carrie (Carolyn Walton). Together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage and built a life centered on love, family and savoring life’s simple pleasures.

Ed found joy in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures of life. He loved waterskiing and boating on Duck Lake, snowmobiling, and taking great pride in caring for his yard. In quieter moments, he enjoyed woodworking and making gifts for family and friends. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially making memories together at Duck Lake.

He spent 30 years with Schmuckal Oil Company, first as a delivery driver and later as a dispatcher. After retiring, he worked part-time as a courier at Munson Medical Center for 10 years.

Ed is survived by his wife Carrie; his children Kim (Paul) Franke, Tammy (Roger) Haworth, and Ed (Kristen) Lambert; his grandchildren Amanda (Alan) Holcombe, Lauren (Jeff) Dreves, Zak (Madison) Squires and Bradley (Raven) Squires; and his great-grandchildren Lucille Holcombe; Sophia, Grayson, Evelynn and Bennett Dreves; Trevor and Ava Squires

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lucille Lambert and his two brothers Robert and Gary Lambert. Along with his in-laws Harby and Katherine Walton.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of Culver Meadows and Bayside Wellness Hospice and Home Health for their care and kindness they provided to Ed.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests you make donations in memory of Ed to The American Cancer Society, Dementia Society of America or Culver Meadows Assisted Living in Traverse City.
