Edward F. Waltz, 75, of Traverse City passed away October 29, 2021.
Ed was born on June 19, 1946 in New York City to the late Edward and Kathryn Waltz.
Ed graduated from Michigan State University and remained a lifelong Spartan fan. He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army.
Ed owned and operated Edco for over 30 years. Following his retirement, he went back to work for Lowes where he enjoyed working with several other retired folks.
In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and watching football.
In 1992, Ed married Sharon Kay Powers in Las Vegas. He adored her and loved her deeply. He was a simple man who will be missed by his family and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his beloved Sharon in 2016 and his parents.
Ed is survived by his children Michael (Jennifer) Waltz, Robert Waltz, Heidi (Charles) Nutter, Denny (Julie) Powers, Elizabeth (Craig) Hurbanis, Beth Kniffin; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Mary (Tom) Colansinski and his beloved little dog Coco.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior. Graveside services will follow at Barnum Cemetery in Mayfield.
