Edwardine A. Walton, 87, of Traverse City passed away February 24, 2021 at the Villa at Traverse Point with her family by her side.
Edwardine was born on November 1, 1933 in Kingsley to the late Edward and Grace (Pence) Mox.
On September 1, 1950, Edwardine married Arthur A. Walton in Kingsley.
Edwardine created beautiful quilts, personalized Christmas stockings for her family, enjoyed pottery, painting and intricate crafts. Edwardine enjoyed playing cards with friends/family, gardening, cooking, reading, and spent years square dancing with Arthur. Edwardine was known for her handmade square dance dresses and matching shirts for Arthur.
Edwardine is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Arthur; daughter Christine Walton; son Kent (Beth) Walton; grandchildren Heather Hooper (Scott) Jaworski, Sarah (Shaun) Rasmussen McKolay, Kate (Nickolai) Valdmanis, Tom (Kristin Toedebusch) Rasmussen, Adam (Jennifer Smith) Walton, Nicholas Walton, Maeda (Dustin) Shroeder; great grandchildren Isabelle, Amelia, Preston, Oliver, Elijah, Walter, Eloise and Penelope Jaworski, Louisa and Gus Valdmanis, Olivia and Liam Rasmussen, Tess and Cash McKolay, Chloe and Colton Walton, and Chelsea Mitchell; and many other family members and close friends.
The family will celebrate her life at a later date.
Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the Cowell Family Cancer Center.
