Elaine E. Brown-

A lifelong native of Traverse City passed away quietly in the early morning of April 4, 2014 at the young age of 72. She was born June 1, 1941 in Traverse City to Ralph and Louise (Weber) Leach. Elaine worked as a legal secretary until retirement. At which point she loved spending time with friends and family on Spider Lake, going to her niece and nephews sporting events and playing with her grand dogs. Elaine will be remembered for her smile and infectious laugh, her love of family and the little things in life.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Louise (Weber) leach and her brother Leon Leach. She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Harold) Axtell and son Michael (Sarah) Brown all of Traverse City, as well as her nieces and nephews and her grand dogs.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM, with visitation 1 hour prior at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where Elaine was a lifetime member.

Memorials may be made in Elaine's name to AC PAW an animal rescue she supported or Hospice of Michigan.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at Country Pleasures Assisted Living for their compassionate and tireless care.
