Elaine Ann Cole

Elaine Ann Cole, 96, of Traverse City completed her earthly accomplishments and went to be with her Savior February 26, 2019.
Born on October 1, 1922 to the late Joseph and Agnes (Sutherland) Kochendorfer in South Bend, IN, she was one of two children. Her brother Anthony Kochendorfer preceded her in death.
In 1942 Elaine moved to the area from Grand Rapids and was employed as an RN for the Traverse City State Hospital. In June of 1947, she married her beloved husband Lester Cole who preceded her in death in 1998.
Elaine was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the State Employees Retiree Assoc. (SERA) and a former member of the Women's Club of Traverse City. She volunteered her time with Munson Hospice and was also a Eucharistic Minister for 30 years at both her church and Bay Ridge. Elaine enjoyed reading in her free time and spending time with her family.
Elaine is survived and missed dearly by her children; Kathleen (Dennis) Nederhoed, Patrick (Susan) Cole and Michael (Stephanie "Stevie") Cole. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kymberly, Paul, Christopher, Andrew and Travis as well as great grandchildren; Cole, Verity and Orion.
Visitation will take place Friday March 1, 2019 at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 5-7pm with a Rosary recitation at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday March 2, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior. Father Greg McCallum will be officiating. Elaine's final resting place will be Oakwood Catholic Cemetery with her husband.
