Traverse City - Eleanor Amy Albers, 97, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2014. Eleanor was born in Highland Park, MI., on Feb. 27, 1917 to her parents, the late Forest and Irma (Baker) Tefft.
Eleanor lived in Dundee, MI., St. Ignace, and DeTour Village, MI., before moving to Traverse City in 1997.
Eleanor is survived by her two sons, Jeffery H. Blackburn of Charlotte, MI., and R. Gregory (Donna Folgarelli-Fisher) Fisher of Traverse City; sister, Marjorie Powers of Traverse City.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Royal Fisher ; and oldest son, David L. Blackburn.
Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee, MI.
Arrangements for the family have been entrusted to Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
