Eleanor Mae (Laubach) Carboneau, age 88, of Traverse City, entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Eleanor was born on March 25, 1936 to the late Dr. Samuel J. and Ruth (Liedel) Laubach in Ann Arbor, MI. Eleanor was an active parishioner of St. Francis Catholic Church and involved in the Monday night prayer group. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Society and was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Charles & Katie Carboneau; Teresa & Kevin Raffaele (Keanna [Allison]); Mark & Lori Carboneau; Matthew & Ann Carboneau (Bria [Kornga]: Camille, Celeste, Marie; Bethany [David]: Kieran; Reade [Soraya]: Andrew, Sophia); Mary Carboneau (Kinzie: Kynnidi; Rachel [Adam]: Lyla, Gracin, Oliver; Nikki [Dennis]; Maverick); Karla & Donald Salo (Sam [Rachel]; Ryan); Jeanna (the late Chris) Fawcett (Justin [Julianne]; Mike: Xena; Christopher; Joe). She is also survived by Charles Leroy Carboneau; nephews: Greg and Tony Laubach, and niece, Janet Laubach Means.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Kenneth (Linda) Laubach, and her son-in-law, Chris Fawcett.
Visitation for Eleanor will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St. Traverse City. Within the visitation, a Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Memorial Mass, with a luncheon to follow, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 1025 S. Union St. Traverse City. Family will welcome visitors an hour prior to the Mass on Friday. A private family committal service will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens immediately following the luncheon.
