Elisabeth L. Barraw

Elisabeth "Granny" L. Barraw, age 87, of Traverse City Michigan, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Granny was born on May 8, 1938 in Mainz, Germany to the late Wilhelm Rotger and Emma Daub.

On September 11, 1956, in Russelheim, Germany, she married William D. Barraw. Elisabeth was a retired machine operator and quality control at Cherry Growers. Elisabeth enjoyed camping, gardening, and outdoor activities.

Survivors include children, William (Kelly) Barraw of Anderson Indiana, Brenda (Roger) Penick of Traverse City, Donald (Monica) Barraw of South Boardman; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Elisabeth was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, a son, 1 granddaughter.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684. Derek Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Monroe Center Cemetery.
