Elizabeth "Skeeter" Anderson of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at the age of 84. Liz was born in Traverse City, Michigan, on March 8, 1941, to parents Edward Lardie and Irma Bosma.

Liz grew up on Old Mission Peninsula, which she loved and often shared stories about—its people and places. After graduating from high school, she attended the Chicago School of Flower Design. In 1965, she purchased The Weaver House of Flowers and proudly owned and operated it for 42 years.

On June 10, 1972, Liz married the love of her life, Jim Anderson. They were happily married for 42 years before Jim preceded her in death in 2014. Liz, along with her husband Jim, deeply valued their family and were incredibly close to their children.

Liz is survived by her children, Mark Anderson, Jennifer Anderson and Barbara Anderson; step -children Deborah Anderson (Carl Hagstrom) and Jana DuGuay; her grandchildren Joseph DuGuay, Syd Richardson, Wesley Richardson and Jackson Anderson. Liz is also survived by friends that became family. Dennis and Kim Ritchey. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, David.

The family will hold a private service at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Suttons Bay. A celebration of life will be held at Reynolds-Jonkhoff in the spring.
