Allegan, MI - Elizabeth passed away October 28, 2014, at Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan. Elizabeth was born December 5, 1940, in Traverse City, Michigan, the daughter of Clifford and Viola (Hammond) Secor.
A member of Prairieville Bible Church, Elizabeth enjoyed bowling and collecting bells. Elizabeth was a LPN, and Reprocessing Manager at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital, for twenty nine years, at Munson Memorial for three years and at Borgess Medical Center for ten years. Elizabeth was also past president of the Michigan State Licensed Practical Nurses Association and a member of the National LPN Association, and she also developed a course that prepared students for national certification in Reprocessing and Sterilizing.
On September 14, 1957, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Blaser, who survives. Other members of her family include: a son, Charles Blaser, daughters: Rosemary (Dan) Howey, Amy (Tad) Cook, and Virginia (Michael) Szymanski, a brother, Gerald (Fay) Secor, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cynthia James and a brother Albert Secor.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014, 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, at 1:00PM with visitation held one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
