Elizabeth Cooper Moffat

Elizabeth C. Moffat, 89, of Traverse City, formerly of Bloomfield Hills, passed away Sat., Jan. 5 in Traverse City. She passed peacefully under Hospice care. Many know her from different perspectives. She was a good artist, gardener, dog rescuer, friend and a great Mom. She did not want a service. Elizabeth asked to be cremated and her ashes dispersed in a place of natural beauty. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Karen Griffiths, Jim (Mary) Moffat of New Orleans, John (Claudia) Moffat of Bloomfield Hills and her grandsons, John Claude Moffat and Michael Griffiths. She was preceded in death by her husband James G. Moffat. Elizabeth always donated goods and services to the Salvation Army ( www.salvationarmyusa.org ) and Second Chance Dobes, P. O. Box 581, Clinton, MI 49236 (online www.secondchancedobes.com ) She would be pleased to have memorial contributions in her memory directed to those organizations.
