Elizabeth Randall, 87 of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Monday November 4, 2024
at the Munson Hospice House.
Liz was born August 7, 1937 in Alma, Michigan to the late Horace and Helen (Dietz) Boutin.
She was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor's degree in English and her Master's degree in Library Science. She was a teacher/media specialist in the Detroit area for 10 years. She also worked as a logistician for the Army for 25 years before retiring.
After retiring, Liz moved to the Traverse City area where she became a devoted member of the OCDS and a dedicated volunteer for AC Paws. She enjoyed reading, going for long walks and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her church family and her many cats.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ethel Tenney and Anita Biabani, son in law Charlie Pentecost and great granddaughter Madelyn Rose Schick. Liz is survived by her children Melora Pentecost, Benjamin Randall, Melissa (Matthew) Schick, and Paul (Ann) Randall; her grandchildren Alex Pentecost, Jonathan, Nathaniel (Stephanie), Elizabeth and Rosemary Schick, Stephen and Sarah Randall; great grandchildren Ethan and Nolan Schick.
Mass and Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00am, preceded by the recitation of the rosary at 10:30am.
A luncheon for family and friends will take place following the mass at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place at Oakwood Cemetery after the luncheon.
