Elizabeth Anne Zucco

Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Zucco, age 53, of Traverse City, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. Beth was nothing short of a fighter, after her prolonged courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by the loving care of her family.
Beth was born on December 21, 1964 to Frederick and Patricia (Hesse) Shorey in Grand Rapids, MI.
Beth grew up in Grand Rapids where she graduated from Grand Rapids Catholic Central. Following graduation, Beth attended Western Michigan University as well and Grand Rapids Community College, where she received her associate's degree in Fashion Merchandising. She was in the perfect profession for her natural sense for fashion. Beth managed various department stores throughout the years; Nordstrom's, Marshall Fields, Jacobson's and Ashleigh's.
On July 12, 1997, Beth married the love of her life Mark Zucco at Shanty Creek Resort. Beth loved to do anything that kept her outdoors where she enjoyed running, and hiking. She had a dry wit and great sense of humor about her. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. More than anything, she loved being a mom, and spending time with her family, especially summers on Torch Lake. One of Beth's favorite things was watching her daughter Grace perform on stage.
Beth is survived by her husband, Mark Zucco, daughter, Grace Zucco, step-son, Alex (Kaitlin) Zucco, grandchild; Emma Zucco; mother, Patricia (Hans) Goede; in-laws Victor and Marianne Zucco and Sharon Shorey; siblings Jennifer Ancans, Rick (Stacy) Shorey, and Lynne (Mark) Riedy, Brad Zucco; nieces and nephews Alexis (Steve) Balbierz, Oliver Ancans, Nic Shorey, Chase Shorey, Nora Shorey, Brad (Claudia) Riedy, and Brian (Alyssa) Riedy. Beth is also survived by her special friends Mary Tuten, JT Kohl, Becky Manning, Chris Wait and Sallie Flores and her beloved pets Lola and Winnie. She was preceded her father, Fred Zucco.

A visitation for Beth will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Francis Catholic Church with a visitation one-hour prior. Fr. Kenneth Stachnik will celebrate and Fr. Christopher Jarvis will con-celebrate the mass.
