Ella Kristina Noelle Saylon, 13 months, passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Helen DeVos in Grand Rapids, MI.

Ella was born on August 14, 2015 in Traverse City to Emily Kelp and Megelle Saylon. She was an energetic little girl who loved to tumble and flip around, usually ending upside down. She was just beginning to walk and was up to 3 steps before she would fall down, get back up and try to walk again.

Ella had an amazing personality that was way bigger than what could be contained in her little body. She loved to have conversations with others, using her gibberish, sure of what point she was trying to get across. She would stare at you with her beautiful brown eyes and would melt your heart. She was generous and loved to share, especially her food.

She is survived by her mother Emily Kelp; father Megelle Saylon; big brother Jayden Isaiah Saylon; grandmother Jennifer Noteware; grandfathers Bruce Kelp (Melody McCollum) and Mitchell Saylon (Deborah Bushong); great grandparents Dick and Carol Noteware, Gladys Kelp and Mary Perry; great aunt Julie Noteware; and her beloved uncle Alex (Switzy) Kelp.

Ella was preceded in death by her grandmother Tina Saylon; great grandmother Nina Kelp; great grandfathers Donald Kelp and George Saylon Sr.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Chris Lane will officiate the service.
