Obituary Notice
Ellen Boyce Simon, 84, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away in the hospital on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born in Waterford Township on January 1st, 1929. She graduated from Dundee High School, in Dundee, Michigan.
She was married to Harlan "Slim" Simon. During her life, she was active in the Sweet Adeline Barbershop Chorus and the Traverse City Planning Commission and was a member of Traverse City Senior Center. She worked at the medical office of Dr. John Spencer. In recent years, Ellen enjoyed visiting with her children, grandchildren and friends.
Ellen is survived by her children Greg and Richard, five grandchildren, great- grandchildren and her sister Shirley Lamkin. Those who preceded her in death were her husband, Slim, her parents, Lawrence and Florence Viles, her sisters Mary Tuckey-Caldwell, and Diane C. Brown, and her brothers Lawrence Viles II and Norman Viles.
Private Interment will be at Summerfield Cemetery in Petersburg, Michigan.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday September 6, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Timber Ridge Resort.
