Em (Emileen Garchow) Blissett, 87, of Traverse City, formerly of Fenton MI, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Bay Ridge Assisted Living Center in Traverse City. Em was born on April 25, 1933.

Em truly cherished her family, friends, and independence. Some of her greatest joys were attending family reunions, traveling Traverse City on the BATA bus system, walking the mall with friends, and going to Elk Rapids on Wednesdays, for Evenings on River Street.

She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the staff at Munson Home Hospice and Bay Ridge Assisted Living Center, for their compassion and kindness.

Em is survived by her daughters Michele Posey, Linda (Ron) Seitz, and son Marc (Karyn). Also surviving are her sisters, Katie Putnam, Eileen Hahn, and her brother Bob (Debbie) Garchow, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank and son Frank Jr.

Per Em's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers or donations, Em would have wanted you to keep her, and her family, in your hearts and enjoy a Taco Bell taco in her honor!
