Emily Jean Zeigler,92, of Empire completed her earthly journey on May 1, 2019 under the loving care of her family.
Emily was born in Bugle England to the late Ernest and Fannie (Jago) Scott. She was the oldest of five children.
After completing primary and secondary school she was in the process of studying to become a nurse when she first laid eyes on her soon to be husband William. Her American solider was completing his tour during WWII. They promised each other the world and also marriage in Saint Austell, England so when the opportunity presented itself, Emily boarded the hospital boat and came to America. She landed in New York and by train made her way up to Beulah, MI where she met her husband and his boss at the time who were anxiously waiting.
Their life together was like a story book. Raising a beautiful family, playing in their flower gardens and hitting every yard sale they saw.
In her later years she enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife from the windows.
Emily is survived and loved by her children; Ernie (Barb), David (Jean) and Sue (Michael), She is also survived by her siblings; Cyril Scott, David (Lynn) Scott and Ann Richard, 7 grandchildren and and many great grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her sons William Jr and Cyril, brother Michael Scott as well as her parents.
