Evan Richard Matusik, 10, of Traverse City, earned his angel wings on February 5, 2017.
Evan was born May 1, 2006 to Andrea Matusik and Richard Ferrel Jr.
Abraham Lincoln said, ".... it is not the years in your life that count; but the life in your years." Evan was a true testament to that. Although 10 years young, he was the light, the hope and the inspiration to many and a joy to all who met him. He had a heart the size of Texas and the ability to light up any room with his smile. He was an architect by way of Legos, and he loved to draw and create things out of paper. He was the builder, the drawer, the transformer lover ,and the boy that knew that tough men wear pink.
With a song in his heart and a chicken nugget in his hand, Evan found great interest in learning about the Titanic and the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Evan is survived and missed dearly by his mother and father, his big brother Dennis, his grandparents Peter and Charlene Matusik and his favorite Uncle Peter Matusik the 2nd.
A visitation will take place on Monday February 13, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
