Evelyn Louise Kline

TRAVERSE CITY – Evelyn L. Kline, age 89, of Traverse City, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Boardman Lake Glens-Highlander.
Evelyn Louise Kline was born on January 12, 1928 to Murray and Beulah (Weitzel) Harris in Sherman, New York. On October 29, 1948, Evelyn married Norman A. Kline.
Evelyn worked as a real estate agent for Real Estate One, and also spent some time at the State Hospital as a Candy Striper.
Evelyn was an avid gardener where she was a member of The Friendly Garden Club. Evelyn was very active in the community where she was a member of the Zonta Club of Traverse City, her and Norman were members of the Grand Traverse Yacht Club, where the two enjoyed sailing on their boat "Strawberry Jam".
Evelyn is survived by her children; Norman Dennis of Traverse City, Steven Jeffrey and (Julia) of New Orleans, Randall Harris and (Janis) of Traverse City, and Jonathan Ainsworth and (Gina) of New Orleans. She was the proud grandmother of Katrina, as well as 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 19, 2017 at Central United Methodist Church with Pastor Dale Ostema officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
