TRAVERSE CITY — Evelyn Ruth Kruger, 82, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 16, 2015, surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born on May 24, 1932, in Traverse City to the late John and Emma Louise (Durga) Brown.
She married Keith William Kruger on April 11, 1958, in Traverse City. She lovingly cared for her Keith and raised their five wonderful children. She often said her greatest accomplishment was her children.
She enjoyed spending summers at their cottage, entertaining family and friends, gardening, refinishing furniture, collecting antiques and reading.
Surviving Evelyn are her children, David (Gloria) Kruger, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Barbara (James) Ditmer, of Granger, Indiana; Michael (Karol) Kruger, of Ludington, Curtiss (Katy) Kruger, of Tacoma, Washington; and Jennifer (Gordon) Robinson, of Buckley; grandchildren, Christopher (Mary) Maurer, Chad Ditmer, Jill (Michael) Cosey, Angela and Michael Kruger, Sheila (Lee) Haish and Shelli Beeman; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Grace, Addison, Kiran, Julian, Cole, Justin, Joshua, Autumn and Amber; a sister, Esther Cook; brother, Lloyd Brown; sister-in-law, Jeanette Oatley; and many other loving family members and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Keith.
