Ezekiel "Zeke" Dean Goodwin

Williamsburg - Ezekiel "Zeke" Dean Goodwin, 6, of Williamsburg went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2012. He took his last breath in the arms of his loving parents.

Zeke was born on August 10, 2005, the son of Rev. Jeff and Becky (Clem) Goodwin.

Zeke was a sweet, gentle, quiet young boy and those who knew him will tell you he was a rare treasure. He always had a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye, a song in his heart, and a spring in his step. The sound of his laugh was music.

Zeke loved dreaming about his future, snuggling with his parents, spending time with his siblings and friends, fishing, and playing sports. He loved all sports, especially T-Ball. He played as if the stadium were full, and the game was on the line each and every time he stepped onto the field.

Zeke had a special relationship with each of his siblings, Aubrey, Sterling, and Eli, who survive They will miss him deeply.

Zeke will be dearly missed by his parents Jeff and Becky, sister Aubrey, and brothers Sterling and Eli, grandparents Gary (Sonia) Clem, Dave (Marilyn) Pierman, David (Sandi) Goodwin, and Patti Dugger, many aunts, uncles, cousins, great grandparents and friends.

Zeke joined his infant brother Corin Dean as well as several great grandparents in heaven.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church. Dr. David Walls will lead the service of remembrance.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the fund that has been established with the Northwestern Michigan Fair to create a safe biking area for all of the fair participants and visitors. Donations beyond what is needed for the bike path and racks will be redirected to a college fund for the Goodwin children.
