---- — TRAVERSE CITY - Florence Adeline (Panek) Loucks, 75, of Traverse City, passed away Feb. 27, 2012, at her place of residence.Florence was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Cedar to the late John Joseph and Mamie Jane (Stewart) Panek. On Sept. 8, 1954, Florence married George B. Loucks. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2004.Florence was a military wife and licensed clinical social worker. Due to George Loucks's service to the nation while serving in the Air Force, the Loucks family moved several times across the United States. At each assignment Florence made a home for her family and served the community as a social worker. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, reading and traveling to see family.Florence is survived by her son Bruce (Mary) Loucks of Florida; daughter Lorene (Dan) Faulkner of Illinois; and her son George (Krista) Loucks of North Carolina. She also has six grandchildren. Florence is survived by her brother Lawrence Panek; and sisters Mildred Putman and Carlyn Mann.The funeral honoring Florence's life will be held Friday, March 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10 am. Burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery on March 12, 2012, alongside her husband.Memorial contributions in memory of Florence may be directed to the Grand Traverse Area Literacy Council, P.O.
