Florence Marie (Baker) Oates
Traverse City - Florence Marie Oates, 93, of Grand Rapids passed away March 2, 2016 at Munson Hospice House.
Florence was born on March 31, 1922 in Cadillac to the late Lloyd and Vera (Keelean) Baker.
Florence enjoyed quilting and was a very talented seamstress. Florence owned and operated a plaster craft store in Grand Rapids for many years.
Florence was preceded in death by husbands John E. Fisher and Albert Oates; brother Kenneth (Bud) Baker and sister Thelma Urbane.
Florence is survived by her son Ronald Fisher of Empire, granddaughters Rhonda (Tim) O'Brien of Empire and Crystal Fisher of California, great granddaughters Morgan (Paul) Chalup, Lauren O'Brien, and Alexa Fisher; great great grandchildren Kate Chalup, Aaliyah Fisher and Aaliyanah Fisher; and sisters Doris Ferguson of Traverse City and Esther Jo Miner of Grand Rapids.
A memorial service will be held this summer.
