Frank Gerald Majszak, 88, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023 at the Maples.
Frank was born on January 5, 1935 in Detroit to the late Frank Joseph and Agnes (Lapshan) Majszak.
On December 1, 1956 he married Ruth Isabel Baatz, but all of her family and friends know her as Sally.
Frank served our country honorably as a member of the United States Army.
Frank owned and operated the Majszak Sugar Shack. In his free time he enjoyed spending time outdoors, boating, fishing and hunting.
Frank and Sally were devoted member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Richard, Wayne, John and Mary Helen; 2 infant grandchildren Deborah Ann and Amber Rose, daughter Amy Thoreson, daughter-in-law Renee Majszak; son in law Keith Wagar sisters-in-law Jan Burden and Elsie Majszak and brother-in-law Norman Constant.
Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sally; their children Mark, Richard, Maggie (David) Erickson and son-in-law Jim Thoreson; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; siblings Bob (Carol) and Susan (Tom) Carey; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Richard Whaley and sister-in-law Theora Majszak.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow at the cemetery where he will receive full military honors. A luncheon will then be held in the church hall.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Philip Neri Church Building Fund or to the Empire Area Museum.
