It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Susan Marotte, who passed away on March 18, 2023.
Gail was born on August 29, 1947, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Robert and Minnie (Wymond) Schroeder. She was eldest sister to Tom and David Schroeder.
Gail married her friend and life partner, David, with whom she shared 55 loving years. Her children, Tom, Liz, and Meg, were her greatest joy, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.
Gail's warm smile and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who knew her.
The family will celebrate her life at a memorial service in the spring. Details to come. Until then, we can honor her memory by taking a moment to appreciate the simple things in life that brought her joy: reading books in the shade, the Talking Heads, afternoon teatime, doggies and birds, painting, plants, and big hugs.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the Women's Resource Center.
