Gail Marie Truax

Gail Marie Truax, 64, of Williamsburg passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Munson Medical Center with her loving husband at her side.

Gail was born on July 18, 1952 in Detroit, MI to the late Carl and Eva (Casper) Drerup. She married Robert "Bob" William Truax on October 22, 1982 in Plymouth MI. Together they shared a wonderful life full of love and appreciation for each other.

Gail worked over 30 years as a Commercial Insurance Agent and most recently at the McNish Insurance Agency in Traverse City. Her passion was cooking and watching the food network. She loved to try new recipes and inventing her own. Also, she was an avid stamper and she loved to make her own cards for special occasions.

Gail liked to go on short road trips that typically resulted in dinners out with Bob. She enjoyed reading, watching t.v. and playing games on the internet. Gail loved the outdoors especially to go on nature walks and feeding the woodpeckers on her deck.

Gail was a great woman and her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving Gail is her loving husband Bob of 34 years; sisters, Carla McGriff of South Lyon, Mi and Lisa Wood of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gails family would like to thank Munson Medical Center for making her final days very compassionate, pain free and comfortable.
