George (Wartella) Martin, 88, of Williamsburg, formerly of Howell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Munson Hospice House. George was born on July 29, 1930 in Detroit. He married the love of his life Polly Bump on April 7, 1951 in Howell, Michigan. George had been employed as a line coordinator for Ford Motor Company retiring in 1990 after 28 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church when he lived in Howell. George was an avid sportsman, he loved fishing and hunting deer, bear and birds.

George is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Polly and special friend Rob Rodenroth.

In accordance with George's wish cremation has taken place.

A graveside memorial service will take place at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Howell.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to Munson Hospice House, 1150 Medical Campus Drive, Traverse City, Michigan, 49684.
