George Louis McCreedy of Empire, MI, age 67, died at Munson Hospice in Traverse City on May 23, 2015. He was born on May 12,1948, in Detroit, MI, the son of Louis and Jean McCreedy. He is remembered as a warm and generous man of integrity with a big heart. We love him and will miss him.

George McCreedy is survived by his fiancee, Victoria Maag Hicks; sons, Christopher Louis McCreedy and Nicholas John McCreedy; daughters-in-law, Claire Hannah Skinner and Kari Susan McCreedy; grandchildren, Ryan David McCreedy, Sophia Jean McCreedy, and Adrian Schroeck; mother, Jean (Limperis) McCreedy; sisters, Stephanie (McCreedy) Gerard and Diane (McCreedy) Mahoney; and brothers-in-law, Marvin Gerard and Sam Mahoney. He was predeceased by his father, Louis George McCreedy and sister, Vicky (McCreedy) Argenta.

A memorial service for George will be held on Sunday, May 31, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City at 2 p.m., and a memorial celebration will be held later that day at the Glen Arbor Town Hall at 4 p.m.
