George V. Saylor, Jr. of Traverse City formerly of Manistee and Detroit, passed away with his loving family surrounding him on his eternal birthday, August 13, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene. His children; Laura (Chris) Czarka, George V. (Sandy) Saylor III, Jeanine (Rob) Buchholz, Nancy Saylor and Maureen Saylor. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A sister, CheeChee (Jim) Williams, sister-in-law Annette (Jack) Saylor, brother-in-law Bob Albert and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday August 20, 2016 at Christ the King Church at 11:00 am with greetings one hour prior. Rev. Raymond Cotter will officiate.
In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to Right to Life of Michigan, Hospice of Traverse City, Fr. Solonus Casey, St. Bonaventure Monastery, 1740 Mt. Elliot, Detroit MI 48207, or the charity of your choice in George's name.
