Georgetta "Cheech" Erazma Jefferson

Georgetta "Cheech" Jefferson, 76 of Traverse City died October 13, 2020 at Munson Medical Center with her family by her side.

Cheech was born on September 25, 1944 in Cedar to the late William and Joanne (Popa) Rosinski.

Cheech worked for Petertyl Drug for over 40 years. Her work family and all of the customers meant so much to her. She was well loved by all who entered their doors.

Cheech was a devoted member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She especially enjoyed singing in the choir. In her free time she enjoyed dancing in the Diamonds and Denim dance group, sewing and knitting. Even in recent months, she continued to sew and made masks for friends and family. She also loved everything about cherries, the fruit, the fabric, and cherry jewelry!

Above all else Cheech cherished her family, especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She will be greatly missed.

Cheech is survived by her children Kevin (Kim) Jefferson, Sheila Jefferson and Brenda (Tony Tharp) Jefferson; grandchildren Stephanie, Jesse and Nichole (fiancé Paul Quayle) Jefferson; great grandchildren Haley Rae Matthews, Elleigh Jayne Anne Quayle and Gretta Louise Quayle; and brothers Albin (Sue) Rosinski and George Rosinski.

Cheech was preceded in death by her parents William and Joanne Rosinski, her husband Robert, sister Theresa (Gerald) Fifarek and brother Gordon (Sylvia) Rosinski

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The family will pray the Rosary at 7:00 pm and all are invited to join them.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 17, 2020 at 12 Noon at St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
