Georgine Doris (Youngberg) Kahle, aged 71, of Traverse City, passed away February 28th, 2016.
Daughter to the late George and Doris Youngberg of Ironwood, Michigan, and sister to late brothers Robert Youngberg of Lake Panasoffkee , Florida and Gary Youngberg of Riverside, Florida, Georgine was born in Ironwood on August 25th, 1944. Georgine is survived by husband, Gary Kahle, son, Derek (Dianne) Kahle of Norwalk, Connecticut, and granddaughter, Chelsea Kahle.
Married on October 20th, 1962, Georgine and husband Gary shared a life full of travel, making homes in Bay Shore and Berkley MI, as well as New York, Texas, and Maryland before returning to Michigan to live in Brighton, and finally Traverse City.
Making friends each place she went, Georgine and her husband experienced the world through their travels, leaving no stone unturned. These adventures included not only an exploration of the states, but also brought Georgine all over the globe—including motorcycle trips through both Russia and the Alps. Georgine poured care and warmth into everything she did, a dedicated wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and lover of all dogs.
