Jerry Dillinger passed away unexpectedly of a pulmonary embolism on May 24th, 2019 at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 53 years, Mary, who were highschool sweethearts. He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer (Mark) Patterson and Emily Dillinger-Witte, his sister Nancy Green and his beloved grandchildren Hannah and Draven.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Allen Dillinger and Kenneth Dillinger and son-in-law David Witte.
Jerry was our rock, and voice of reason to all. He would do anything for his family and those who he loved. His legacy of wisdom and strength will live on with everyone he touched. The loss we feel is insurmountable. We were all so lucky to have this amazing, honorable man as part of our lives. Our lives have been forever changed. He was the captain of our ship and will remain our compass in life.
There will be a gathering of friends at Reynolds-Johnkoff funeral home at 2pm on Friday, May 31st.
