Gerald "Jerry" Francis Mausolf, 92, of Traverse City passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, with his family at his side.

Jerry was born on March 21, 1931, in Harbor Beach, MI to the late Michael and Gladys (Laskey) Mausolf. He married Joy Ann Moehlman on July 3, 1955, in Lake Orion, MI. Together they spent 68 beautiful years together and lovingly raised three wonderful sons, Michael, Jeffery and Patrick.

Jerry honorably served our Country in the United States Marine Corp. He then continued his service to our Country as a proud Michigan State Trooper for many years. As a man of many talents, he was also a licensed mechanic and later worked at the Smith and Johnson Law Offices.

Jerry was a proud member of the Michigan State Troopers Association and the VFW. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, reading, doing puzzles and spending time with his family.

Jerry is surviving by his wife Joy of many remarkable years, his son Patrick (Diane) Mausolf, his daughter in law, Debra Mausolf, grandchildren, Stephanie (Mario) Castillo, Greg (Brenda) Mausolf, Christopher (Kaylena) Mausolf, David (Jody) Mausolf, Nicole (Jake) Mausolf, Eric Mausolf, Alex (Fiancée Sara) Mausolf, great grandchildren Genna, Tyler, Aubrie, Samuel, Connor, Quinn, Lucas, and Logan, his sister Jone Merideth, in-laws, Robert (Sue) Moehlman, James (Linda) Moehlman, Larry (Gail) Moehlman and many other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons Michael and Jeffery, his brother Michael (Jody) Mausolf and his sister-in-law Linda (Lance) Nixon along with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 1-3pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan or Oakland County Animal Pet Adoption Center.
