Traverse City - Gerald Paul Hengesbach, 74 of Traverse City passed away December 31, 2012 at Munson Medical Center with his wife by his side.
Jerry was born on April 28, 1939 in Detroit to the late Clarence and Annabelle (Clement) Hengesbach.
On June 13, 1962 Jerry married the former Andrea Catherine Duda.
Jerry served his country honorably for 10 years as a member of the United States Coast Guard. Following his time in the service he worked for TCAPS as a custodian for 30 years.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 50 years Andrea, his sons Christopher Joseph (Jennifer Nicole) of Kingsley and Jeffrey Thomas (Bonnie Jo) of Norfolk, VA, grandchildren Chad, Peyton, Kailey Ann, and Keagen, sister Doris Davis of Warren and brother James of Warren.
Gerald was preceded in death by his brother Clarence and sister Lorraine.
Private family services have been held.
The family is being served by Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
