Gina Marie Hoy

Gina Marie Hoy, 58, of Interlochen, MI, passed away November 13th, 2020 in comfort with her loving family surrounding her.

Gina was born November 11th 1962 in Saginaw, MI to the late Nellie J. Heidenberger (Stuck) and John M. Calangelo Sr. She grew up in Zilwaukee and attended school at Zilwaukee Elementary, North and Arthur Hill. She moved to Traverse City, MI in 1980 and on April 17th, 1982 she married Randal L. Hoy.

Gina spent a lot of her time gardening, sewing and was always starting new projects. She was a very creative and crafty person. She also enjoyed sharing those hobbies and spending time with her grandchildren.

Gina was also a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Interlochen.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Jenny) Hoy, Cameron (Jocelyn) Hoy, Larissa (Colt) Meakin and Branden (Rachael) Hoy; her 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Austin, Lillian, Emileigh, Holden, Avery and Griffin; her sister Pam Nestell, two brothers Jack Calangelo and Chris Calangelo; many nieces and nephews; her mother in law, Kay Hoy and several in laws.

Gina was preceded in death by her husband, her mother, her father, her brother in law Dale, her sister in law Debbie and her father in law, Lee Hoy.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, November 18th, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church with service to follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Mark Berlin officiating. Burial will follow service at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
