Virginia "Ginnie" Kay Gabel, 84, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024.
Ginnie was born on February 21, 1940 in Newberry to the late Kenneth Rueben and Helen (Beach) Wood.
On April 1, 1961 she married James Richard Gabel. Together they shared 56 years before he passed in 2017.
Ginnie was also preceded in death by her siblings Kenneth R. Wood, Carlee M. Nelson and Karen L. Benoit.
Ginnie will be remembered with love by her daughter Pam (Gary) Ankerson; son James Gabel; grandchildren Kyle, Matthew, McKenzie, Cole, Natalie and Madalyn; and great grandchildren Kade, Camden, and Tucker.
The family will celebrate her life privately.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
