LAKE ANN — Glenn Earl Gray, 46, of Lake Ann, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at his parents' home. Glenn was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1963, to Ronald E. and Sharon L. (White) Gray.
Glenn was a graduate of Benzie Central High School, then went on to Ferris State University and studied Architectural Drafting.
He was a "creator of things" at an early age, which eventually helped him with his love and talent for building. He was a field manager of Zaring Enterprises in Tennessee and most recently he was an assistant in the Building Trades Program for Frankfort-Elberta and Benzie Central Schools.
Another love for Glenn was music; Zug Zug Music Productions was his DJ service. He enjoyed playing the music for the various dances and different community events.
Glenn loved the outdoors, from cross-country running, golfing, hunting, fishing, and especially spending time at the family U.P. hunting camp. He will fondly be remembered as our Thanksgiving turkey.
Glenn is proudly survived by his son, Jason; his parents, Ronald and Sharon Gray, of Lake Ann; Sue (Michael) Frost-Mayse, of Middlebury, Ind., Ruth Ann (Wayne) McMillen, of Fullerton, Calif., and Lisa Skiver of Clearwater, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Ashley Frost, Meagan and Julie McMillen, Courtney and Leeann Skiver; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his grandparents and nephew, Josh Frost.
A memorial service is planned for Sept. 19, 2010, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, at the Lake Ann United Methodist Church Community Education Building on First Street in Lake Ann.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Jason's Education Fund with contributions directed in Jason Gray's name to Northwestern Michigan Bank, 625 S. Garfield Avenue, PO Box 809, Traverse City, MI 49685-0809.
