Traverse City-Glenn Lincoln Yetter, Jr., 77, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly, at his home on Thursday, May 24, 2013.
Glenn was born January 12, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Anise (Bakar) and Glen L. Yetter, Sr. His family moved to the Cedar Run area when he was two years old, and his earlier years were spent in that area.
On June 28, 1975, he married Patricia Ann Dumbrille and they enjoyed 37 years of devotion to each other. At. the time of their wedding, they both were employed at the Traverse City Iron Works and continued to work there until the business closed in 1983.
In 1983, they started a trucking business titled Yetter Enterprises Inc., and teamed together mostly hauling produce throughout the United States until January 2004. From 2004 to November 2012 Glenn was employed by Quality Drive-A-Way in Goshen, IN delivering RV's to dealerships throughout the United States.
Glen enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a great supporter of Dale, Jr. He was a deer hunter and a fisherman. His best times were with his children on opening day of bass season at his parents home on High Lake. Opening season followed by a fish fry were a yearly event.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Yetter, of Traverse City; his four children, Kimberly (Dennis) Michaud of Plantsville, Connecticut, Michael Yetter, of San Antonio, Texas, Lawrence Yetter of Traverse City, and Trevor (Pam) of Kingsley. He has six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dixie Strait.
Cremation has taken place. No services will be held at this time.
