Gloria Pauline Summers, 66 of Kingsley, MI passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the ones she loved most on Nov. 25, 2021 at age 66.
Gloria was born was Born on Nov. 29, 1954 to Richard and Beverly Garretson (Ghastin).
Gloria had a wonderful life full of love. She spent her life helping others. She was a nurse on med/surg. She was a volunteer EMT for Norman Township in Manistee, MI.
Gloria was so funny. She always loved to laugh and always had a giggle going on. She was the most loving and compassionate person. The minute you met her you were family and she loved you with her whole heart.
On March 23, 1974 she married Samuel Kemp and had 2 children. They divorced in 2001.
On Feb. 14, 2002 she married the love of her life, her soulmate and best friend. Her Wesley. She said when she married him she was complete. They had an epic love story kind of love. He was everything to her.
Gloria was the best mom and grandma. Her family was everything to her. Nothing made her happier than her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her entire world.
Gloria was survived by her loving and devoted husband Wesley Summers, her children Tracy (Justin) Jones, Matthew Kemp, Terri (Matt) Remeur, Dennis (Candi) Summers, her grandchildren Allyssa (Ezra) DeLoach, Andrew (Kristian) Hawkshaw, Montanna Lijewski, Lily Jones, Kelcee Remeur, Zach Remeur, 6 great grandchildren, mother-in-law Karoline Thon-Hoenstein and brother-in-law Raymond Summers. She is also survived by siblings Michael (Pam) Riley, Pat (Susan) Riley, Marlene Millikan, Tim (Janet) Riley, LuAnne (Kim) Dennis, Raymond Summers and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard Garretson and Beverly (Ghastin) Garretson, nephew Patrick Riley Jr., and brother-in-law Phillip Young.
