Gloria Jean Timberman

TRAVERSE CITY – Gloria Jean Timberman, age 79, of Traverse City, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Munson Hospital as a result of respiratory failure due to COVID-19 pneumonia.
Gloria was born August 1, 1941 in Billings, Montana to the late Jacob and Marie (Crystal) Beck. She was raised in Billings along with her older sister, Beverley and graduated from Billings High School.
She married Edwin Earl Timberman after being set up on a blind date by a mutual friend in April 1960 in Billings, Montana. Gloria was a homemaker for many years, busy raising 4 daughters with her husband. Once her youngest daughter was in high school, she began to work at American Community Mutual Insurance Company in claims customer service until her retirement. Gloria and Edwin moved many times due to his job with Kraft Foods. From Billings, MT, to Milwaukee, WI, then to Cincinnati, OH, and finally to Canton, MI. She recently moved to Boardman Lake Glens in Traverse City where she loved watching the sunset over the lake and spending time with family in the area.
Gloria was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. She was a gifted baker, making the most delicious cinnamon and dinner rolls. Nothing could compare to her love for a good baked potato, which she enjoyed eating and serving to her family. She was an active volunteer at her daughters' schools; baking, sewing, and always giving of her time to help at their activities. Gloria also loved attending the activities, graduations, and weddings of her grandchildren.
Gloria will be greatly missed by her children; Holly (Don) Bahr, Lavonia, GA, Shelly (the late Allen) Lulko, Traverse City, MI, Nancy (Dave) Mlynarik, Noblesville, IN, Linda (Ed) Lee, Chicago, IL, grandchildren; Mitchell Bahr and Megan (Parker) Gilbert, Danielle (Mark) Langlois, Michael Lulko, and Alex Lulko, Kaitlyn Knode, Thomas Lee and Andrew Lee, great-grandchildren; Carter Gilbert, Caden Gilbert, Cai Gilbert, Lucas Langlois, and siblings; Beverley (the late Ken) Knorp, of Puyallup, WA, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Earl Timberman, December 2, 2012, and parents Jacob Beck and Marie (Crystal) Beck.
A private memorial will be held by her family per her wishes.
The family extends their gratitude to Munson Hospital ICU nurses and doctors for the exceptional care they gave to their mother, and to family and friends for their prayers and incredible support during this difficult time.
