Gregory James Carlisle, 66, lifelong resident of Traverse City died November 17, 2019 at his home.

Greg was born on March 21, 1953 in Traverse City to Albert Wesley Carlisle and Sally Ann Tossey.

Greg graduated from St. Francis High School. On December 15, 1972, he married Kathryn "Katie" Lou Stephenson.

Greg worked in the Optical Field for over 30 years. He loved playing, coaching and watching all kinds of sports. He loved the outdoors and had a brilliant mind. He was a whiz at Jeopardy and had a knack for music and sports trivia.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Albert.

Greg is survived by his wife of 46 years, Katie; son Tony (Kate); grandson Austin; mother Sally; step-mom Patricia; brothers Tim (Wanda) Carlisle, Tedd (Cindi) Carlisle; step-brother Doug Martin and many other extended family members.

The family will celebrate Greg's life at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for an education fund for Greg's beloved grandson Austin.
