Gregory Scot Ferguson, age 57, passed away on September 9, 2020 at his home in Traverse City after battling health issues for many years. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey (Carol) Ferguson of Lighthouse Point, Florida; nephews Alexander Ferguson of Washington DC and Andrew Ferguson of Miami FL; uncle Robert (Bob) Hemstreet of Victorville California; and many cousins located from Michigan to Georgia to California. He was born on July 16, 1963 in Traverse City to Donald A. Ferguson and Donna Jean (Hemstreet) Ferguson. Greg was a graduate of Traverse City Senior High School and attended Michigan State University. He resided in Washington DC for many years and worked in the United States Senate before returning to Traverse City in 1995. He was an animal lover, a video game enthusiast, a boxing fan, and a collector of sports memorabilia.

Due to the Covid-10 situation, a celebration of Greg's life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to give an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to the Cherryland Humane Society.
